Caleb Woodard’s Maelstrom in miniature

This is my interpretation of Caleb Woodard’s Maelstrom cabinet. As soon as I saw a picture of this piece on line, I knew I had to build it. The body of the cabinet is made from 3/16” cherry that I carved down to make the ridges. I then stained the cabinet black. Only the tail ends of the 5 drawers are dovetailed, as I had to inset the fronts, so as always I have included some classic joinery.
